PrestaShop includes a feature to enable a new tab on the product page, so that customers can download files for each product.
This is often used to include technical data sheets, certification information, sales accreditations, nutritional information, information on the compounds used, special rates for suppliers and any other type of information file that the customer needs in order to make a purchasing decision.
The problem with this PrestaShop functionality is that all files are public for 100% of the visitors to the online store.
In many cases, this information is only relevant for certain types of clients, usually professional clients.
Additional private information by customer group
It can be counterproductive to give more information than necessary. Whether it is to individual customers who may find it difficult to make a purchase decision because they do not understand the information correctly as they are not professionals in the sector or because we do not allow the competition to have access to all the information about our products.
In those cases, this module is very useful, since it will allow you to assign different attachments to each product and decide which groups of users can see them. This module privatizes the downloadable content you include in each product.
You will be able to assign to each product as many attachments as you want and then you will be able to indicate in each attachment, which group of users you want to see it.
